- note from Joanne: so what makes these vastly different from the cheap walmart/amazon look-a-likes are the sealed bearings, UNSEALED leaves it vulnerable to grinder dust, and that is what kills Dremel's normally.
✅ DAILY USE (What staff must do)
- 🔌 Charge when battery is low (20–40%)
- ⚡ Unplug once fully charged
- 🚫 Do NOT run until completely dead
👉 If unsure: plug it in after your shift, unplug before leaving
📦 END OF DAY (Simple rule)
- If used → Top up charge
- If not used → Leave it alone
🗓️ IF TOOL SITS UNUSED
(Example: backup grinder)
- 🔋 Store at ~50% charge (not full, not empty)
- 🏠 Keep indoors (room temperature)
- ❄️ NEVER store in garage or vehicle
🔄 EVERY 3–4 MONTHS (Manager task)
- Turn tool on for 30–60 seconds
- Recharge to about 50–70%
- Put back into storage
❌ DO NOT DO (Critical mistakes)
- Leave battery dead for days/weeks
- Leave plugged in 24/7
- Store fully charged for months
- Store in freezing temperatures
- Use random/unapproved chargers
⚠️ SIGNS OF BATTERY DAMAGE
If you notice:
- Tool dies quickly after full charge
- Won’t hold charge
- Gets unusually hot
👉 Tag it + remove from use immediately
