Scissoring a dog's coat properly requires some creativity and a lot of knowledge. To save your joints and to be able to scissor smoothly, it is also essential to have the right technique. As a student or novice groomer, it is sometimes difficult to know how best to hold your scissors. The tip we want to give you is to practice and repeat! And what better way to help you do that than with our Show Tech Scissor Training Rings.

Practice makes perfect

These rings with a stopper can best be compared to a thimble. They are the ideal tool for students and novice groomers. Some people who are still learning how to scissor tend to put their finger too far through the opening of the scissors. Doing so reduces the amount of force that can be applied and as a result, the legs of the scissors will not open as far. If you hold your scissors incorrectly, you will not be able to cut as smoothly, controlled and evenly. Moreover, scissoring will also be less comfortable for you. After all, the wrong scissor holding technique leads to strain on the joints and to muscle cramps in the fingers and hand.

Holding your scissors correctly means that only the tip of your finger should rest on the scissors. Because these rubber finger rings have a stopper, your thumb and ring finger cannot sit too far through the openings of the scissors. With this tool, placing your fingers further than is allowed and indicated is impossible. In this way, you can practice well and effortlessly to improve your scissor holding.

With the Show Tech Scissor Training Rings, you can be sure that you are holding your scissors correctly. The choice is yours whether to use one or two. And now, it’s time to practice!
